Montego Bay, Jamaica

Jamaica, officially the Commonwealth of Jamaica, is an island nation of the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Once a Spanish possession known as Santiago, it became an English colony in 1655 under the name Jamaica and achieved full independence from Britain on August 6, 1962. With ancestors from Africa, Europe and Asia, Jamaica is a multifaceted mosaic of international customs and traditions. Montego Bay, or Mo-Bay as the locals call it, has a relaxed, low key atmosphere and is a popular tourist destination with duty free shopping and beaches.
